The plot of ``Lend Me a Tenor,'' containing ``desire thwarted and finally fulfilled'' and ``illicit behavior that is constantly threatened with exposure,'' might sound like ``Moulin moulin (mlăN`): see pothole.  Rouge'' again, but that's how director Barbara Huntington describes the farce.

``It's a full-on farce, complete with mistaken identities, lust and laughter,'' Huntington said, adding that the play contains some adult situations that might not be suitable for younger children.

Set in Cleveland in the 1930s, ``Lend Me a Tenor'' centers around a famous tenor, played by Geoff Burnaugh, who is making his American debut. Misunderstandings and seductions abound as the cast attempts to prepare for a benefit opera performance.

``Lend Me a Tenor'' will be presented at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through June 30, with one Sunday matinee scheduled for 2 p.m. June 24. Tickets are $8 to $10 for adults and $6 to $8 for students and seniors, depending on seating.

``The audience will feel like they are right there in the kitchen of this woman's apartment, and they will no doubt feel the fear this woman is feeling,'' he said. ``Be prepared to be scared, very scared.''

``Wait Until Dark'' will be staged at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through June 23. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12.50 for students and seniors.

Children and adults can also enjoy the Guild's musical version of the classic children's story ``Pinocchio,'' opening at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Due to stage restraints, resulting from it being decorated for the Guild's other concurrent production, ``Lend Me a Tenor,'' ``Pinocchio'' will be a commedia dell' arte presentation - a stylized styl·ize

``We don't have the luxury of an elaborate set and a lot of props, so much of the story is left up to the imagination of the audience,'' said co-director Patti Finley. ``We use very exaggerated acting, which will grab the attention of young children.''

What the production lacks in scenery, it will make up for with elaborate, inventive costumes, Finley said.

``Pinocchio'' is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through June 30, except for a 7 p.m. performance June 24. Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
