 COMCAST NAMES HUMAN RESOURCES VICE PRESIDENT FOR CABLE DIVISION
 PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Cable Communications, Inc. today announced the promotion of Diane Maguire to vice president of human resources.
 Maguire, previously vice president of employee relations, succeeds Paul Gillert, who was promoted to vice president of human resources for Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: CMCSA). In making the announcement, Tom Baxter, president of Comcast Cable Communications, noted, "Diane brings a unique blend of strategic planning, marketing and organizational development perspectives to her new role."
 Maguire joined Comcast in 1986 as vice president of marketing for Comcast Sound Communications, Inc. She was promoted to vice president of Employee Relations for the cable division in 1991. Prior experience includes planning and marketing consultant for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Paterson, N.J., strategic planning manager for AT&T and marketing and sales manager for Bell of Pennsylvania. She received an M.B.A. from Pace University, New York, and a B.A. from Albertus Magnus College, New Haven, Conn.
 A native Philadelphian, Maguire resides in the city's Fairmount section.
 Comcast Cable Communications, Inc. is a division of Comcast Corporation, which is principally engaged in the development and operation of cable television and cellular communications systems. The corporation's consolidated and affiliated cable operations serve more than 2.8 million subscribers. This includes more than 830,000 subscribers representing 50 percent of the total subscribers served by Storer Communications, Inc.
 Comcast also provides cellular telephone service in the Northeast United States to markets encompassing a population in excess of 7.3 million. In addition, Comcast is engaged in the sale and installation of sound communications systems, owning the largest independent network of background music systems operating under the Muzak name.
 The Class A and the Class A Special Common Stock of Comcast Corporation are traded in the Over-the-Counter market and are reported in the National Market List under the NASDAQ symbols, CMCSA and CMCSK, respectively.
