COM21 LAUNCHES DOCSIS-BASED NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.


Com21, Inc. (Nasdaq: CMTO CMTO College of Massage Therapists of Ontario ), has launched DOXcentral, a headend-independent network management system for DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) A cable modem standard from the CableLabs research consortium (www.cablelabs.com), which provides equipment certification for interoperability.  systems. The system offers user-friendly, task-oriented operations in the familiar Windows NT environment. Features include remote management capability, event logging, security management, auto-provisioning capability and multiple service levels. The system is currently available and will begin volume shipments early in 2001.
