COLT Telecom Expands Its Managed Firewall Range with Lucent Technologies' Service-Level-Assured VPN Firewall.

:LU) today announced that it has provided COLT Telecom Deutschland with its VPN (Virtual Private Network) A private network that is configured within a public network (a carrier's network or the Internet) in order to take advantage of the economies of scale and management facilities of large networks.  Firewall Brick(R) 20 and 80 enabling the service provider to cost-effectively expand its existing range of managed firewall services to small businesses.

The Lucent firewalls have been installed in COLT security operations centres in Frankfurt and Berlin and allow COLT to offer managed firewall services of varying scope to its customers across Germany. These include standard security offerings to advanced comprehensive premium solutions.
