COLOROCS GRANTS PATENT LICENSE TO MINOLTA.


ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 1, 1995--Colorocs Corporation today announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Minolta Minolta Co., Ltd. was a Japanese worldwide manufacturer of cameras, camera accessories, photo-copiers, fax machines and laser printers. Minolta was founded in Osaka, Japan in 1928 as Nichi-Doku Shashinki Shōten  Company, Ltd. of Japan which grants to Minolta a non-exclusive license to utilize Colorocs' patented single-pass color imaging system for all purposes. Colorocs said that this unique proprietary technology has broad applications, including the development and manufacture of full color copiers, printers and fax machines. Terms were not disclosed.

 McKeon, noted that Colorocs had previously entered into a similar licensing agreement with the Ricoh Co., Ltd., also of Japan.

They stated "Colorocs is actively engaged in licensing discussions with a number of multinational companies. We believe that these licenses will accelerate market recognition of the technology's benefits."

They also stated that Colorocs intends to carefully monitor the color imaging marketplace to protect its intellectual property rights and the rights granted to its licensees.
