COLOMBIA.


HARKEN ENERGY, a U.S. energy company, received US$55 million in financing from the International Finance Corporation
International Finance Corporation (IFC)
A corporation owned by the World Bank that produces a number of well-known stock indexes for emerging markets. Its major role is to provide financing for projects in less developed countries.
 (IFC) to develop oil fields in Colombia. The funds will be used for the first phase of the $158 million project that will produce up to 30,000 barrels of oil per day.
