COLLISION ON LAKE BOAT CRASH AT CASTAIC HURTS FOUR.

CASTAIC - Four people were injured Friday morning when two boats collided head-on at Castaic Lake Castaic Lake is a lake on Castaic Creek formed by Castaic Dam, in northwestern Los Angeles County, California, near the town of Castaic. The 323,700 acre foot lake (399,000,000 m³) is the terminus of the West Branch of the California Aqueduct, though some comes from the 154 mi² , throwing one boater into the water and knocking another man's teeth out, authorities said.

A man from each boat was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and treated for injuries that emergency crews described as minor.

 of the ski boat, witnesses said. The impact knocked the bass boat's passenger into the water but he was not injured.

The driver of the bass boat, a man in his 60s, according to authorities, hit his mouth on something that knocked out a number of his bottom teeth.

Tim Dahme of Simi Valley, who owns the ski boat, was at the wheel. The ski boat took the brunt of the bass boat's weight, which shattered the ski boat's windshield, spraying glass throughout the vessel.

``It was a head-on crash out there in the water but there weren't any serious injuries.'' said Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Fire Capt. Robert Serabia. ``Some of the kids got some cuts and scratches.''

No one was cited at the scene, authorities said.
