 - A 68-year-old woman was killed Monday when the car she was driving was hit broadside by a truck, officials said.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was pulling out of a driveway or private street about 12:30 p.m. on Bobs Gap Road near Panorama Road when her sedan was struck broadside on the driver's side by a Ford F-250 truck, Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Fire Capt. Robert Ericsson said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, California Highway Patrol highway patrol

 Sgt. Tom Lackey said. The driver of the truck, whose name was not available, was not injured, Ericsson said.

The accident, which occurred in a remote area of Llano, was under investigation.
