Freshman Heather Collins and junior Jackie Fodor knew about the Chancellors' tradition as eighth-graders, long before Collins scored two goals and Fodor got three assists Thursday in her team's 5-1 Coast/Valley League victory over Granada Hills.

Collins watched Chatsworth (13-1-1, 2-0) win its seventh City Section title in nine years in March. Her friend, Ember Lee, now at Cal, told herthe teachers are nice and the players treat each other like a family.

Plus, they win all the time.

``It's fun to be on a team where everybody's good,'' she said.

It was an easy decision for Collins, who lives in Kennedy's district. She has several friends on Granada Hills' junior varsity junior varsity

Fodor wasn't keen on staying at Cleveland's district, either.

``When I came in, they told me we win league and we've got to play hard,'' Fodor said. ``Wetell them we've been there every year and it's expected of us to play hard and get there (to City final). If we don't, it's a big letdown letdown

This season, Fodor's role is changing. She always has been a points machine, scoring 28 goals and getting 22 assists last season. This year, she's spending more time assisting. She has six goals and eight assists.Preis scored once and had two assists, and Trisha Arosemena and Leila Pate also scored for Chatsworth, which scored its last three goals with less than five minutes to play.
