The Pepperdine women's basketball Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's. Chisa Ononiwu hit the game-winning jumper with four seconds remaining to seal the victory for the Gauchos (4-5). Ononiwu scored six of her 10 points during the Gauchos' 9-0 run to end the game.

After Ononiwu's shot, Pepperdine's Daphanie Kennedy missed a jumper at the buzzer.

Miranda Ayim scored 21 points to lead Pepperdine (5-4), which shot 45 percent in the game compared to 37 percent for UCSB UCSB University of California at Santa Barbara
