Pepperdine's women's volleyball volleyball, outdoor or indoor ball and net game played on a level court. An upright net, 3 ft (or 1 m) high, the top of which stands 8 ft (2.43 m) from the ground for men, 7 ft 4 1/8 in (2.  team twice took seventh-ranked Hawaii the distance, but the No. 19 Waves return from Honolulu with an 0-2 record.

Jamie Houston had 49 kills to lead the Rainbow Wahine Rainbow Wahine is the nickname applied to women's sports teams at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The University of Hawaii teams were traditionally called "rainbows" until controversies with the name led the  to 3-2 nonconference victories Friday and Saturday nights, both matches decided by the slimmest of margins.

Hawaii rallied from a two-game deficit to win the opener 25-30, 26-30, 30-25, 33-31, 17-15, then held off a Pepperdine comeback for a 30-28, 30-26, 25-30, 23-30, 21-19 triumph in the second meeting.

Freshman Rachel Lumsden led the Waves with 23 kills Friday and 21 Saturday.
