Jensen, who also won the mile in 2005, missed Chris Thompson's 2001 American short-course record by eight-hundredths. But his mark was good enough to surpass the previous Trojans record of 14:29.85, set by Erik Vendt at the 2003 NCAAs.

Jensen, who won the national title in the 500 freestyle Thursday, became one of 11 USC swimmers to win at least threeindividual championships.

Washington 2, CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge  1: Jorden Merry allowed four hits and one run in eight innings to outduel Jimmy Jolicoeur and lead the host Huskies.

Jolicoeur gave up two runs on five hits in seven innings, striking out eight for the Matadors (11-15).

SOFTBALL

No. 6 Oklahoma 8, CSUN0: The Sooners' Lauren Eckerman pitched a five-inning no-hitter in the Judi Garman Classic at Cal State Fullerton.

WOMEN'S WATER POLO

No. 3 USC 19, Hawaii 6: The visiting Trojans (11-3, 4-1 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation is a college athletic conference whose member teams are located in the western United States. MEN'S VOLLEYBALL

No. 1 Pepperdine 3, SanDiego 0: The Waves (18-1, 14-1 MPSF) improved to 8-0 on the road this season with a 30-18, 30-25, 30-16 victory.
