COLLEGES: Pepperdine never heats up in Portland.

T.J. Campbell hit three 3-pointers and scored 14 points to lead the Portland men's basketball team to a 74-45 victory over visiting Pepperdine on Thursday.

The victory assured Portland (17-9, 8-3 West Coast Conference) of its first winning conference record since 1995.

Pepperdine (8-19, 5-6), which had a three-game winning streak snapped, led only once, at 2-0.

Dane Suttle Jr. led Pepperdine with 13 points. The Waves hit 23 percent of their shots and were just 2 of 20 from 3-point range.
