With the score tied at 15, the Waves (5-2) went on a 13-3 run to take control with 5:42 remaining in the first half. Northridge cut the deficit to two on eight straight points, but Pepperdine ended the half with an 8-2 run to take an eight-point lead at halftime.

Less than four minutes into the second half, Pepperdine stretched its lead to 17, as the Waves made their first threeshots from beyond the arc to take a 50-33 advantage with 16:38 remaining. Consecutive 3-pointers by Jamie McCaa and Fuleki trimmed the deficit to 11, but the Waves extended their lead to 21 points, 70-49, with 6:52 left.

CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge  had 31 turnovers to 19 for Pepperdine.
