Mike Gaudino's second career match against the Pepperdine men's volleyball team went better than the first.

But even his efforts weren't enough to lift Cal State Northridge past his older brother Greg and the host Waves.

Hawaii 15, CSUN 10: Allison Brookes had five goals and Dayna Van Gorder added four for the No. 19 Matadors in an MPSF loss to No. 4 Hawaii (12-8, 8-3). Jillian Stapf had 13 saves for CSUN (12-16, 0-9).

MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD

Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational: UCLA's Andrew Ninow recorded a season-best mark of 199 feet, 3 inches in the hammer throw to take second. Boldizsar Kocsor threw 198-9 to place third for the Bruins.
