BASEBALL Cal State Northridge 9, UNLV 4: Edwin Quirarte allowed three runs on sevenhits in six innings and John Parham ended CSUN's 20-inning homer drought with a second-inning blast as the Matadors (2-1) won at home. WOMEN'S TENNIS USC 6, Pepperdine 1: The Trojans won a match that was postponed from Saturday because of rain. USC improved to 2-0, while the Waves are 2-1. TRACK AND FIELD Cal State Northridge senior Shauna Hackett finished tied for first in one of two finals of the 60 meters with a time of 7.63 seconds at the University of Washington Indoor Invitational at Seattle. Sophomore Jere Summers won the shot put with a mark of 14.98 meters.
