Kara Lang Kara Elise Lang (b. October 22, 1986 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is a renowned Canadian soccer player. Lang is, at 20, already Canada's fourth-leading all-time international women's goalscorer.  couldn't have picked a better time to score her first two goals of the season.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

USC 3, Cal 1: Senior outside hitter Asia Kaczor had 19 kills and five blocks to lead the No. 4 Trojans (13-1, 3-1 Pac-10) to a 17-30, 30-25, 30-19, 30-27 victory over the No. 10 Golden Bears (10-4, 0-3).

Kaczor hit .357 in the match for the Trojans, who bounced back after suffering their first loss of the season on Thursday at No. 2 Stanford.

Senior outside hitter Jessica Gysin added 14 kills for USC, while freshman outside hitter Kimmee Roleder had 18 kills, seven digs and two solo blocks.

USC played without senior Diane Copenhagen, who is day-to-day with an abdominal strain.

Trojan setter Taylor Carico had a season-high five kills to go with 52 assists, eight digs and three blocks.

Hana Cutura led Cal with 22 kills and seven digs while Angie Pressey had 14 kills and six digs. Morgan Beck also had 10 kills, seven digs and three blocks.

Stanford 3, UCLA 0: The fifth-ranked Bruins had their winning streak halted at 12 following a 30-23, 30-23, 31-29 Pacific-10 Conference setback at No. 2 Stanford (14-0, 3-0).

Ali Daley recorded 12 kills and 10 digs for UCLA (13-2, 3-1), whose only losses this season have come against top-ranked Nebraska and Stanford.

Rachell Johnson and Kaitlin Sather each contributed 10 kills and Nellie Spicer had 36 assists and 11 digs for the Bruins, who relinquished a 27-22 third-game lead.

UC Irvine 3, CSUN 1: Freshman Brittany Williams had a career-high 16 kills to go with five blocks and junior Val Kepler added nine kills, but the Matadors (4-11, 1-2 Big West) dropped their home opener 20-30, 26-30, 30-26, 27-30 to the Anteaters (12-4, 2-0).

Bhargava defeated Milou Teeling (University of San Diego) 6-0, 6-2 and Eliska Krausova (San Diego State), 6-0, 6-1; Liles defeated Esther Cadua (San Diego State) 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 and Julia Bauregger (Denver), 6-3, 6-4; and Braverman defeated Jane Huh (Arizona), 3-6, 6-4, 12-10 after a first-round bye.

Liles and Braverman lost to lost to San Diego State's Milana Yusupov and Holly Bagshaw 8-6 and will play in the consolation semifinals, as will Mitchell and Marigrace Marshall, who lost to San Diego State's Cadua and Julia Trunk, 8-0.
