women's basketball Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's. ``They've always been on top of the Big West,'' said Tulikihihifo, who finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds. ``We've wanted the respect we feel we deserve so we had to go out and get it. We had to take it.''

Northridge (9-10, 5-1) led by eight with 90 seconds to go, but Santa Barbara (10-9, 4-2) made a late rally to cut it down to two. Northridge extended its winning streak Noun 1. winning streak - a streak of wins
