Freshman Lauren Cheney continued her domination of college competition, scoring her eighth goal in seven appearances to lift UCLA's fifth-ranked women's soccer team to a 1-0 nonconference victory Sunday over Gonzaga.

Cheney, the 2005 Gatorade National Player of the Year at Ben Davis Ben Davis may refer to:

 High in Indianapolis, headed home Lauren Switzer's cross 37 seconds into the second half as the Bruins improved to 9-2-0. Cheney has five game-winning goals, including the past three.

Men's soccer: Freshman Kyle Nakazawa and former Thousand Oaks High star Jason Leopoldo scored goals as No. 17 UCLA topped Oregon State 2-1, completing a weekend sweep. The Bruins (6-3-2, 2-1-1) edged No. 4 Washington 2-1 in overtime Friday night.
