COLLEGE TO GET 2 FEDERAL GRANTS.

Glendale Community College Glendale Community College can refer to one of two colleges in the United States.
  • Glendale Community College (Arizona)
  • Glendale Community College (California)
 will receive $2.1 million in federal grants, which were created by the U.S. Department of Education to aid colleges that have large populations of Latino students.

Over the course of the next five years the college will receive two separate grants. The first $1.7 million in federal funds Federal Funds

Funds deposited to regional Federal Reserve Banks by commercial banks, including funds in excess of reserve requirements.

Notes:
These non-interest bearing deposits are lent out at the Fed funds rate to other banks unable to meet overnight reserve
 will be used for strengthening student services, implementing testing and orientation programs, and establishing online technology programs.

A portion of the funds will be used to help the college assess the needs of working parents and students and to implement programs to help meet the needs of immigrant households and students with families.
