The Antelope Valley are getting a rare opportunity. Monica Abbott - an All-American pitcher from the University of Tennessee The University of Tennessee (UT), sometimes called the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UT Knoxville or UTK), is the flagship institution of the statewide land-grant University of Tennessee public university system in the American state of Tennessee. and starter on the U.S. national team - will be an instructor next week at the Sports Depot Fastpitch Softball Clinic. The clinic, which will support the Littlerock High softball program, will be at the Lancaster Big 8 Softball Complex from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Abbott is one of several college players who will be at the clinic. Former Highland High standout Shannon Doepking, a Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team catcher, and former Littlerock High outfielder Tori Beaudette, who played for Mt. San Antonio College Mt. San Antonio College (commonly called Mt. SAC; pronounced as the word "sack") is a community college located in the Los Angeles suburb of Walnut, California, next to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona which is just over a hill.
