There aren't exactly any easy draws by the time when you get to the Women's College World Series The Women's College World Series (WCWS) is the final portion of the NCAA Women's Softball Tournament for college softball in the United States. The tournament is conducted in an eight-team, double-elimination format. , but there certainly are dangerous ones.

Tennessee, with All-American pitcher Monica Abbott and the top-hitting offense in the country, is not your average No. 8 seed.

 weather in Oklahoma City and two extra-inning games earlier in the day, the Bruins and Volunteers were delayed by more than 3 1/2 hours. In the end, Tennessee outlasted the Bruins in a 4-3 victory that wasn't final until after 2 a.m. local time.

 Caitlin Benyi following an error by Tennessee shortstop Lindsay Schutzler. It added another run in the top of the third when Andrea Duran led off with a triple to right and scored on a single by No. 2 batter Krista Colburn.

The Bruins seemed to be cruising to an easy victory as UCLA pitcher Anjelica Selden took a no-hitter into the fifth. But the Volunteers got back-to-back infield singles from India Chiles and Lindsay Schutzler with one out in the sixth. Both came home on a single by Tonya Callahan that was misplayed by left fielder Ashley Herrera. Callahan then scored on a single to right by Kristi Durant to put Tennessee ahead 3-2.

UCLA (48-8) rallied in the bottom half of the inning. Jodie Legaspi singled and moved to second on a single by pinch-hitter Danielle Peterson. UCLA loaded the bases when slap-hitter Tara Henry beat out a chopper to second, but Andrea Duran struck out with the bases loaded to end the threat.

Tennessee then added another run in the top of the seventh on another RBI single by Durant.

UCLA rallied again in the bottom half of the inning, getting an RBI single from first baseman Lisa Dodd, but Whitney Holum hit a grounder to third baseman Jennifer Griffin, who stepped on the bag for the force out to end the game.

Texas 2, Arizona State 0: Cat Osterman had 18 strikeouts to break the Women's College World Series record for a seven-inning game in Texas' victory.

Osterman (38-2) allowed one hit -- Bianca Cruz's second-inning single -- and did not walk a batter. After Cruz's hit, Osterman retired the final 18 batters in a row.

The senior left-hander broke the World Series strikeout record for a regulation game of 17 that she shared with Northwestern's Lisa Ishikawa.

Arizona 3, Oregon State 2 (9): Kristie Fox singled in Caitlin Lowe in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Wildcats.

Northwestern 6, Alabama 5 (10): Darcy Sengewald scored the winning run for Northwestern in the bottom of the 10th inning when the ball went through Alabama center fielder Brittany Rogers' legs after Tammy Williams' single up the middle.
