COLLEGE SCENE UCLA.Coming off a bye week because of final exams, the third-ranked volleyball team plays host to a major two-match series against second-ranked Hawaii Thursday and Friday. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. at Pauley Pavilion Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion, informally and commonly known as Pauley Pavilion, is an indoor arena located on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles, California. It is home to the UCLA Bruins men's and women's basketball teams. The men's and women's volleyball teams also play here. . Before the Friday match, the school will retire the number of former All-American Steve Salmons, who won two national titles with the Bruins and an Olympic gold medal in 1984. UCLA also has a 84-74 all-time record against the Trojans. USC is coming off a 7-0 victory over Princeton last Thursday. The Trojans are No. 22 in the country and their best singles player, Andrew Park, is No. 18. CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge The No. 13 men's volleyball team won eight of its 10 nonconference matches, but the Matadors have struggled in tough Mountain Pacific Sports Federation The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation is a college athletic conference whose member teams are located in the western United States.
