Tereza Simonyan and Roni Setiawati lost a thrilling 9-8 doubles match to USC's seventh-ranked tennis tandem in the third round of the Riviera/ITA Women's All American Tennis Championships on Saturday at UCLA.

The seniors lost to USC's Maureen Diaz and Anita Loyola in the second round of the first hard-court tournament of the season, which featured the top Division I players. Simonyan also competed in singles play but lost in the first round. Simonyan was 17-5 - including an 11-match winning streak - as the Matadors' No. 1 player last season.

LOYOLA MARYMOUNT

The No. 7 men's soccer team hasn't lost this season, thanks to Andre Murriagui, who scored in the 94th minute to give his team a 1-0 overtime victory over UC Santa Barbara. It was Murriagui's fifth goal this season.

Anna Andersson and Natalie Braverman won their respective singles tennis titles Sunday at San Diego State's Fall Classic.

Braverman posted a come-from-behind victory in her first collegiate appearance to win the B Flight. Andersson won both of her games to take the C Flight.

Also, Pepperdine's women's basketball team is ranked 22nd in Street and Smith's preseason poll. The Waves won 23 games last year and won the West Coast Conference title for the first time.
