COLLEGE ROUNDUP: KUNES LEADS WAY FOR UCLA.

Mike Kunes was at his best Friday in UCLA's 8-1 victory over Washington in a Pacific-10 Conference game at Husky Ballpark in Seattle.

The Chatsworth High graduate allowed one run on three hits and threw just 93 pitches en route to earning the first complete game of his career. He walked just one batter, didn't allow a hit until the fourth inning and had seven strikeouts to improve to 7-3.

The Bruins (21-26, 6-7) got to Washington starting pitcher Shawn Kohn in the first inning, when Rashad Parker singled and Wes Whisler followed with a double.
