Nana Meriwether's individual efforts Saturday night were enough to finish the regular season as the nation's leader in hitting percentage (.459).

Unfortunately for UCLA's women's volleyball team, even a sweep of Oregon on Senior Night wasn't enough for the Bruins to capture their first Pacific-10 title since 1999.

Meriwether, one of four seniors on No.4 UCLA's roster, finished with 13 kills and six blocks to lead the Bruins to a 30-25, 30-26, 30-20 victory over the Ducks (17-11, 7-11) at Pauley Pavilion Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion, informally and commonly known as Pauley Pavilion, is an indoor arena located on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles, California. It is home to the UCLA Bruins men's and women's basketball teams. The men's and women's volleyball teams also play here. .

No. 21 UCLA 87, Sacramento St. 64: Lindsey Pluimer scored a career-high 27 points and had eight rebounds to lead the Bruins (3-3) in a consolation game at the Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu.

Chinyere Ibekwe added 17points and Noelle Quinn had 12points and 11 assists for UCLA, which plays TexasTech for fifth today.

Pepperdine 52, Iowa State 46: Teiosha George had 15 points and nine rebounds as the Waves (4-2) won their own Thanksgiving Tournament.

The Waves' Daphanie Kennedy, who had nine points, three assists and two steals, was named tournament MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994. UC Irvine 68, Pepperdine 66: Marvin Lea had 18points and Chase Griffin added 16 for the visiting Waves (1-5) in a nonconference loss.

Tulsa 91, CSUN 70: Rod Earls scored a career-high 26to lead the host Golden Hurricane (3-1).

CSUN (4-3) hung close until the final four minutes, but Tulsa made 14 of 15 free throws in the final 4:30 and steadily pulled away. Calvin Chitwood had 11points and Jayme Miller 10 for CSUN.

MEN'S WATER POLO

USC 5, Stanford 3: Tommy Corcoran scored twice as the top-ranked Trojans advanced to the championship game of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation is a college athletic conference whose member teams are located in the western United States. The conference participates in the NCAA's Division I.  Tournament.

Goalie Adam Shilling made sevensaves for USC (25-0), which will play Cal in the MPSF MPSF Mountain Pacific Sports Federation  title game at 3p.m. today at UCIrvine.

Cal 8, UCLA 5: Brian Bacharach, John Mann and Marty Matthies all scored twice as the Golden Bears (28-4) rallied from an early 2-0 deficit in the MPSF semifinals.

For UCLA (16-6), Michael March scored twice.
