COLLEGE ROUNDUP: CSUN MEN FALL TO UC DAVIS IN DOUBLE OT.

Sophomore Vince Oliver had 30 points and six rebounds to help UC Davis beat the Cal State Northridge mens' basketball team 93-88 in double-overtime on Thursday night.

Rommel Marentez and Kyle Brucculeri had 14 points each for the host Aggies (4-12).

The Matadors (9-8), who lost to the Aggies for the first time in five meetings, got 19 points from Jonathan Heard and 16from Calvin Chitwood.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Women's basketball is one of the few games which developed in tandem with men's. It became popular, spreading from the east coast of the United States to the west coast, in large part via women's colleges.
