The sixth-ranked Bruins will host a four-team sub-regional Friday and Saturday at Pauley Pavilion Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion, informally and commonly known as Pauley Pavilion, is an indoor arena located on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles, California. It is home to the UCLA Bruins men's and women's basketball teams. The men's and women's volleyball teams also play here. . UCLA (25-3), seeded third in the Central Region, plays Eastern Washington

Eastern Washington is a region of the United States defined as the part of Washington east of the Cascade Mountains.
 (24-7) Friday after Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame  (20-8) meets Ohio State (16-11) at 5 p.m. The winners face off Saturday at 5 p.m. at Pauley Pavilion, with that winner earning a spot in the regional semifinals.

No. 14-ranked USC and No. 10 Pepperdine also host Central sub-regionals.

The Waves (24-3), seeded No. 2 in the region, plays Arkansas State (28-6) at Firestone Fieldhouse on Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo San Luis Obispo (săn l`ĭs ōbĭs`pō), city (1990 pop. 41,958), seat of San Luis Obispo co., S Calif., near San Luis Obispo Bay; inc. 1856.  (20-8) meets Michigan State (20-12). The winners play Saturday at 7 p.m.

If Pepperdine and UCLA win their sub-regionals, they would meet in the Central Region semifinals. USC could also earn a Central Region semifinal spot.

The Trojans (20-8), seeded fourth, play Hofstra (26-5), and 20th-ranked Minnesota (25-8) meets Cal State Sacramento (22-9). The winners play for a regional semifinal berth. Dates and times were not available at press time.

Loyola Marymount (19-10) plays Southeast Missouri State (28-5) at UC Santa Barbara in a Pacific sub-regional. The No. 8 Gauchos (26-5), one of only four teams to qualify for every NCAA Tournament since 1981, plays Oral Roberts (23-12).

Penn State, ranked No. 1 in the nation, is the top seed in the Central Region; second-ranked Stanford is seeded No. 1 in the Pacific Region; Pacific is the top seed in the East and Hawaii, which hosts the Final Four Dec. 16 and 18, is the No. 1 seed in the Mountain Region.

UCLA is making its 18th NCAA Tournament appearance and last won the national title in 1991. USC is making its ninth-straight tournament appearance, and this is Pepperdine's 12th trip and third straight.

UCLA in water polo semis: The Bruins men's water polo team is favored to win their third national title in five years. UCLA (20-3) is the top seed in the NCAA Tournament semifinals at UC San Diego. The Bruins will play fourth-seeded Massachusetts (28-5) Saturday at 1 p.m., and second-seeded Stanford (21-5) meets third-seeded UC San Diego (19-10) at 3 p.m.

The winners meet for the national title Sunday at 1:30 p.m. UCLA defeated Stanford 11-10 in overtime to win the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation is a college athletic conference whose member teams are located in the western United States. The conference participates in the NCAA's Division I.  championship.
