The Trojans, making their seventh appearance in the Sweet 16 in eight seasons, might play at the Sports Arena because the top four seeds traditionally host regionals. Then again, the top-16 seeds usually host first- and second-round matches.

UCLA (20-8) probably will play at Long Beach State.

Freshmen Keao Burdine and Alicia Robinson had 13 kills each and Katie Olsovsky had five of the Trojans' 15 blocks. USC hit .377 and limited Duke (23-5) to just .106.

For UCLA, Kristee Porter demonstrated her value with a match-high 19 kills and a .371 attack percentage as the Bruins gained the momentum early and never let up.
