``It'll be sentimental to see him on our field, especially since this might be his last season,'' Lyon said.

Lyon and Reisbig forged a relationship in 1973. Lyon, a freshman at Canyons, was the Cougars' starting quarterback and Reisbig was his head coach. ``I remember in the offseason, I would meet him at his house almost every day,'' Lyon said. ``We would go across to the elementary school elementary school: see school.  football field, and he would put me through quarterback drills to make me better.''

Kyle Bauer of Valencia High nearly matched Winn, completing 8 of 13 passes. California transfer Andy Zelinski completed 12 of 19 passes and also is in the running.

--Getting defensive: Although the Cougars have a talented offense, the defense is inexperienced. COC returns four starters from a defense that was ranked No. 5 in the state last season.
