 freshman Kristina Comforte posted the first perfect score in college gymnastics this season, scoring a 10.0 on the vault as the Bruins routed Cal State Fullerton in the Titans' ``Beauty and the Beast'' meet.

``I'm thrilled for Kristina,'' UCLA coach Valerie Kondos Field said after the Bruins' 195.925-190.050 victory. ``She is one of the best vaulters in the world. She can do a few bigger vaults, but we're hoping to save her ankle for (the) season.''
