During a lunchtime meeting of the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, Daniel Larios pointed to new facilities on campus and satellite programs with California State University Enrollment  campuses as ways to maximize AVC's
assets.
``In offering these programs we're going to be able to keep some of the talent here because I believe the jobs are here with aerospace and such,'' Larios said. ``It's all part of economic development and we want to be a player in that.'' Larios' comments were met with cheers and applause from the audience, which seemed pleased with his goals. ``He seems like he really knows where the college should go and just how to get it there,'' said Dan Simms, who owns an auto repair shop in Palmdale. ``I love his ideas and hope that local businesses can partner with the college to form a solid relationship.'' During the luncheon, Larios discussed the addition of three or four new buildings for the CSU See DSU/CSU. 1. CSU - California State University. 2. CSU - Cleveland State University. 3. CSU - Channel Service Unit. Bakersfield extension, including classrooms to accommodate the growing student enrollment. There are now about 550 students in the extension program.
