It's been a tough recovery for Kibble, who missed spring practice when the flu exacerbated the multiple sclerosis. It landed him in the hospital in late February. ``At first, it was going real slow and I thought I would have to red-shirt,'' Kibble said. ``Right now I'm looking at training camp and getting playing time, but once I get in playing motion, I'll fight for a starting spot. To make sure he wasn't forgotten by the coaching staff, Kibble met with new defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker to discuss his role. ``(Walker) admitted he was kind of counting me out,'' Kibble said. ``I thought that was it. I was feeling kind of down, but after I talked to coach Walker, I felt better.'' As a freshman, Kibble was a special-teams player. He is hoping to contend with Keyes and Aaron Ware for playing time next season, but between now and August's training camp, Kibble knows he has to take care of his body so not to experience another relapse. --Taylor nearly ready: Junior Taylor, the Bruins' most experienced receiver, said he expects to be fully cleared for all football activities later this month or in early June.
