LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska running back Marlon Lucky, a former North Hollywood High

Lucky, from North Hollywood, was slowed by a back injury and shared playing time with three other I-backs as a sophomore in 2006.

He started six games and was the team's second-leading rusher, with 728 yards and sixtouchdowns. He also caught 32 passes for 383 yards. He averaged 19.1 yards on eightkickoff returns.

 told HuskersIllustrated.com the past few days have been tough on everyone associated with the Nebraska football program.

"I have spent time with both Marlon and his family at the hospital over the past couple days," Callahan said. "Marlon knows that he has the full support of our football team, coaches and entire athletic department."
