Memphis coach John Calipari John Vincent Calipari (born February 10 1959, in Moon Township (A suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States) is a former professional and current college basketball coach. Since 2000, he has been the head coach of the University of Memphis men's basketball team.  is constantly riding his players about their defense.

In two games, the No. 24 Tigers have been successful in forcing teams into bad shooting nights. The high-flying Onyenegecha was back in the lineup Saturday and playing above the rim as usual. Onyenegecha had 11 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals to help CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge  to an exhibition win over UC San Diego at the Northridge Gym.

``My game's not there at all,'' Onyenegecha said. ``I lost my timing and everything. It felt weird but I'm happy to be back.''

Freshman guard Jonathan Heard was impressive again as he made 6 of 7 shots from the field and scored a game-high 13 points. Heard started both exhibition games and is expected to be in the starting lineup when CSUN plays at Oklahoma in its season opener on Nov. 20.

Senior Ian Boylan had seven points, six assists and five rebounds and a busted lip. Boylan received three stitches at halftime after a collision for a rebound.

CSUN's swarming defense forced San Diego into 32 turnovers.
