 7: Josh Roenicke went 3 for 4 with four RBI and Chris Jensen hit a two-run home run but UCLA lost to host Washington State (21-33, 1-19), despite getting 15 hits as a team.

UCLA starter Bryan Beck was roughed up, pitching five innings giving up eight hits and allowing seven runs.

Washington State was led by Nick Hall (3 for 3, two RBI) and Kimbrel Garrett (3 for 4, two RBI).

UCLA catcher Chris Denove went 4 for 4 and scored three runs. The four hits were the most for the catcher since May 29, 2004 against Oregon St. Roenicke's previous career high for RBI was two, which he accomplished earlier this season against UC Santa Barbara.
