COLLEGE BASEBALL ROUNDUP: WAVES KEEP PACE IN WCC.

Pepperdine ace Kea Kometani allowed one run over 7 1/3 innings and struck out seven batters as the Waves defeated host Portland 5-1 in West Coast Conference play on Saturday.

Kometani threw 106 pitches and improved his record to 8-4.

Raymond Ravago went 1 for 2 with a RBI coming on a sacrifice fly and Adam Fleener had a RBI single to register CSUN's only runs.

Kahn (3-5) gave up five hits and walked three batters for LMU (21-24, 11-11).

James Cooper went 3 for 4 for LMU and Chris Pettit went 2 for 3 with an RBI, and teammates Jon Oller, Evan Shahak, Eirc Farris and Joe Frazee each had one RBI.
