 freshman Josh Karp made his long-anticipated home debut a historic one on Saturday, yielding six hits in five innings as the Bruins defeated Georgia Tech 12-3 for coach Gary Adams' 800th career victory.

Southern Utah 11-12, CS Northridge 7-10: The Thunderbirds (4-5) outscored the Matadors 6-2 in the final three innings of the opener, then put together a 10-2 rally in the last two innings of game two to complete a nonconference sweep at Northridge (5-5). Adrian Mendoza, Kevin Patrick, Jason Gorman, J.T. Stotts and Matt Synhorst all had two-hit games for the host Matadors.
