The Bruins were led offensively by Hector Ambriz who was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.

 4: Evan Longoria had five hits as the Dirtbags (12-7) held on for a nonconference win over the Lions (4-9) at Blair Field.

Long Beach State starter Donnie Hume threw four shutout innings, giving up just two hits and striking out three. Neil Jamison earned his sixth save.
