The big hits in the six-run uprising were a two-run double by Chip Gosewich and a two-run homer by Bloomquist.

Steve Smyth (6-8) took the loss for the 17th-ranked Trojans. Jon Switzer (6-3) was the winner for the No. 22-ranked Sun Devils.
