With the naming of the finalists, the college district moves into the last and most visible part of the search process when the candidates appear at public forums on campus. Students, faculty, staff and members of the public can attend the 90-minute forums to hear statements from the candidates and engage them in question-and-answer sessions. A single candidate will be featured at each forum, all scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in the college Chorale chorale (kōrăl`, –räl`), any of the traditional hymns of the German Protestant Church. The form was developed after the Reformation to replace the plainsong of the earlier service and as a means of congregational participation in Room, room 334. Spink is scheduled for April 18, Chacon for April 23 and Spangler for April 30. This is the first time that Antelope Valley College has used the public forums.
