Pepperdine led 57-47 on a layup by Bryan Hill with 12:58 to play. Santa Clara used a 12-3 run over the next 5:58 to pull to 60-59 on Sedlock's basket.

St. Mary's 69, Loyola Marymount 65: Josh Unruh made two free throws with 4.3 seconds remaining to lift St. Mary's at Loyola Marymount.

The Gaels (17-7, 7-4 West Coast Conference) led by 25 points with 18:59 remaining in the game.

Loyola (6-17, 3-8) used spurts of 14-0 and 12-3 to get back into the game.

Tim Kennedy led Loyola with 16 points. Kenny Hotopp added 14 points and 13 rebounds.

WOMEN

USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  77, Arizona St. 63: Tina Thompson scored 22 points for the Trojans (16-5, 10-2 Pac 10) at USC.

Molly Tuter led the Sun Devils with 18 points. Arizona State shot just 31 percent from the field.
