The Antelope Valley
 organizations and individuals are pitching in to help Central American Central America

Water, food, medicine and clothing are being collected from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today in the apartment parking lot at 221 E. Ave. Q-10, Palmdale, and the shopping center at 170th Street East and Avenue O in Lake Los Angeles.

The donated items will be turned over to Casa Nicaragua, a Los Angeles-based community group, said organizer Irene Medrano.

``We figure on doing it for a couple weeks, whatever it takes,'' said CAP Capt. Robert Sentner. ``If we get a whole bunch we'll send it out, then keep on doing it.''
