COLDWATER A&P TO HOLD RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY SATURDAY, JAN. 25,
OPEN STATE-OF-THE-ART SUPERMARKET SUNDAY, JAN. 26
DETROIT, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- A&P Supermarkets announced the grand opening of the company's newly constructed "super supermarket" in Coldwater, in the south central area of the state of Michigan. The store will officially open at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26. The announcement of the company's expansion was made by Larry G. Zettle, president, A&P and Farmer Jack Supermarkets in Michigan.
The new store, located within the Willowbrook Mall at the intersection of I-69 and US 12, is a short distance from the original West Pearl Street A&P store, a business that has served the Coldwater community and Branch County since the early 1960s.
A&P recently completed construction of the 34,500-square-foot building, added its signature departments and is now ready to serve Coldwater and surrounding communities. More than 100 new jobs will be created for the store, which will be managed by Dale Appleman, who has served as manager of the former A&P location. The new A&P supermarket will be open 24 hours, seven days a week.
According to Zettle, "We are extremely pleased to continue our growth in a community that supported us for almost 30 years. Coldwater and Branch County residents are our family; its people work with us and have helped us build this new facility. They shop with us and have greatly contributed to the national success of our company. It is with great pride that we open this outstanding new store dedicated to this growing community."
The exciting new A&P super superstore will offer low prices, 28,000 products, and introduce these new innovative specialty shops and time- saving services:
-- All-new deli with a wide selection of lunch meats and cheeses, as well as catering for parties. Plus, for the joy of not cooking, A&P offers daily hot entrees featuring chicken and ribs.
