The agreement complements Cognos' recently announced Channel Partners program expansion, which has targeted an increase in the number of certified resellers from approximately 250 to over 1,000. Company revenues for Impromptu, an interactive data access, query and reporting tool, and PowerPlay, a multidimensional data analysis tool, increased from $16 million to $42 million (Cdn.) last year, prompting broader distribution efforts.
