COGNITRONICS CORPORATION MOVES TO DANBURY; NEW SPACE PROVIDES OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY, FUTURE EXPANSION

DANBURY, Conn., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move to gain greater operational efficiency and provide for future expansion, Cognitronics Corporation (AMEX: CGN) said today it has moved its headquarters and operations to a 40,000-square-foot building in Commerce Park, Danbury, Conn. Cognitronics, a leading maker of voice processing systems, said 71 employees made the move.
The two-story facility, which Cognitronics has leased for 10 years, consolidates operations from three different sites in New Jersey and Connecticut, including the former Stamford facilities, its headquarters for 22 years, according to Matthew J. Flanigan, president and chief executive officer.
Extensively refurbished by the owner, the new headquarters meets Cognitronics' specifications to place the engineering, sales, production and office staffs all under one roof.
"This consolidation of functions will allow us to grow our voice processing business more efficiently," said Flanigan. "Our customers require our sales people to work closely with engineering and production specialists -- this building makes that requirement easier and means better customer service.
The building is jointly owned by Seymour R. Powers and The Danbury Industrial Corporation. Cushman and Wakefield was the broker for the transaction.
Cognitronics is a leading manufacturer and supplier of voice processing equipment, including telephone network and call management announcement products and interactive voice response (IVR) systems, to telephone operating companies, original equipment manufacturers and commercial end-users.
