COFFEE BOOSTS SENIORS' CAUSE.

NEWHALL - Next time you sip that morning java, you could be helping someone in your community.

``Coffee With A Cause,'' a fund-raiser for the Santa Clarita Senior Center, will debut Thursday at the Valencia Industrial Association's B2B Business Expo. The package includes a mug bearing the Senior Center logo, a package of ground Newhall Coffee and a coaster, all put together by VIA member All American Marketing.

``Jeff came to me and asked if he could put the Senior Center logo on the cup, since the center is going to be the beneficiary of the VIA Bash in September,'' said Jill Harper, director of volunteers and recreation at the center. ``All of the funds raised will go to our recreation programs. We provide intergenerational programming, you only have to be 18 to participate in any of our classes.''

Harper rattled off a list of programming that will benefit from the fund- raiser: tai chi, aerobics and a variety of dance lessons, including line, square and ballroom dancing.

``We also have some incredible art classes,'' she continued. ``Some of our artists' work will be on display at the Age Wave Expo at College of the Canyons.''

The package will sell for $10, with $4 going to the Senior Center. The B2B Expo will be held in the Valencia Commerce Center at 28945 Avenue Williams from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After the expo, the mug packages will be available at the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market St., Newhall, and at Java and Jazz in the Valencia Town Center. Harper said other locations wishing to support the center by selling the mugs can call her at [phone].
