As the first mining industry recipient of the Conservation District's Award for Distinguished Service to Conservation, Coeur Rochester was cited for consistently using "best-known methods for protecting wildlife and the environment" and for "helping improve wildlife habitat and recreation capabilities in the area" of Pershing County in Nevada.
