COCA-COLA ENTERPRISES INC. ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF COKE WEST ACQUISITION.


ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1996--Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. today announced that the Company has completed the acquisition of Coca-Cola Bottling Company A bottling company is a commercial enterprise whose output is the bottling of beverages for distribution.

Many bottling companies are franchisees of corporations such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo who distribute the beverage in a specific geographic region.
 West, Inc. and a related company, Grand Forks Grand Forks, city (1990 pop. 49,425), seat of Grand Forks co., E N.Dak., at the confluence of the Red and the Red Lake rivers; inc. 1881. In a spring wheat, livestock, and farm area, the city has grain elevators, state-operated flour mills, and plants that process  Coca-Cola Bottling Co. (collectively Coke West). The acquisition was completed for a transaction value (purchase price and acquired debt) of $158 million with the purchase price financed through the issuance of debt. Coca-Cola Enterprises acquired the outstanding shares of Coke West, as well as the convertible debt and warrants held by The Coca-Cola Company. Coke West operates in parts of Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. In 1995, Coke West generated proforma 1995 net operating revenues of $112 million on case sales of 23 million unit cases.
