Before she left, however, Pedersen said she noticed Baltad had started leading practices. Marcellin has asked several players to lead the team, but not everyone has embraced the role (Pedersen, for example, didn't). But Baltad did, so she continued once Marcellin stopped asking. ``This is somebody who will have an impact whether they play or not,'' Marcellin said. ``She's as active as anyone else.''
